It was rather pretty, in a twisted sort of way. Dull railway tracks that stretched into the distance, a metal line on sand that reminded me of a long, thin leech thatd attached itself to a scaleless, peeling scar and was sucking greedily. Of course, what purpose this observation served was a perfectly valid question. The red-scale behind the counter seemed less than enthused with the idea, glaring at me like a youngling whod found a cute furry creature and was unsure whether it was good eating or whether itd look better smashed to a bloody pulp.
